Today we had a Terry Fox asembly to remind us that "We are Terry" and we can make a difference. Next Thursday we will run/walk in honour of the Marathon of Hope that Terry started back in 1980.
Imagine Terry were still alive today. What questions would you ask him if you had the chance to interview him?
Think about what you've learned about Terry in school.
We wrote a paragraph together about Terry Fox:
Terry Fox was a determined and courageous Canadian hero. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. If Terry were alive today, he would be 54 years old. When he was a kid, he loved to play sports, especially baseball (he even won a championship trophy). During his teenage years, he was sadly diagnosed with cancer in his right thigh. He began the Marathon of Hope in 1980 and ran the equivalent of a marathon each day for 143 days, raising thousands of dollars for charity. Every year since his death in 1981, we remember Terry for his strength and bravery.

Aris told Tyja that Ms. Perlmutter made a mistake during a math lesson. Aris heard Ms. Perlmutter say that one thousand five hundred is bigger than fourteen hundred. Tyja agreed with Ms. Perlmutter. Who is right - Aris or Tyja?
